I Believe Organic Raw Meaty Bones are the Best Safe Dog Chew but...

Maybe some dogs are so darned domesticated that they don't know how to chew meaty dog bones properly before swallowing? Over the last 20 years my little 8 and 9 lb dogs had no problems whatsoever!

However...

My brother's 30 lb dog hardly chews, then swallows, followed by throwing up the bones... arf! He quit feeding these except for the extra-large bones that can only be gnawed on :)

Nimble's “customized” goat ribs...

What about Wild Dogs?

I'm sure wild dogs scarf their doggy food down because they don't want to share and...

They're super hungry when food is not readily available!

I've broke apart coyote poop many times and found large rabbit bones intact (not always). Were these not regurgitated since our furry pal's ancestors are accustomed to this practice? Nimble Doggie believes so!

We found this coyote poop full of seeds but no bones...

What Now?

I suggest when feeding your dog her raw bones keep an eye out to see how she handles it. Don't be quick to give up as this is a very, very healthy dog food...

… and can provide hours of chewing pleasure for your companion!

I ground up some of Nimble's meaty bones for frozen meatballs...

Alternative Safe Dog Chews

If you decide to go another route (ask your pal first!) make sure the dog chews...

1. Aren't irradiated (if not organic).

2. Can't be broken down into big pieces and swallowed but instead...

… ground down into little pieces.

3. Are organic (or just as good as without the organic stamp).

Just Like Ice Cream?

"Yes...

I'm loving my meaty chicken bones my daddy customized for me...

Taking away my nutritious meaty bones (since I handle them well) is like me stealing your desert... arf!” Nimble Doggie.

Still deciding?

Here's more in-depth dog-bone-chomping details!

Nimble and I have been there and done it... we're always learning. Others have and unfortunately... others haven't. I keep it simple. Period.
